Week 6 Research Plan Revised

Note: The revisions I have made are the following: "Topic Focus, Key Terms, Nature of Topic, and Library of Congress Classification". This was kind of challenging at first, but I finally got it down.

Patirica Shepard/Research Plan

Title:
Pollution Is The Silent Environmental Curse

Topic Focus:
How does air pollution effect plant life?

Scope:
In my project I intend to cover what pollution is, where pollution comes from, how it affects our environment (air, land, and water), and how to solve the issue of pollution. The encyclopedia article that I found online was in the "HighBeam Encyclopedia", the article title is "Pollution", the information is from "The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition", the date of publication was copyright 2007 Columbia University Press, and the author of this article was not available.

Outline:
The cause of pollution
The effects of air pollution
The effects of visual pollution
The effects on noise pollution
The effects on water pollution
The effects on plant life
The strategic plan to stop pollution

Academic Disciplines:
The subject areas that would contain information regarding pollution are as follows:
Ecology
Environmental
Biology
Geology

KeyTerm:
Atmosphere
Fumes
Greenhouse Gases
Smog

Toxic Waste

Nature of Topic:
I believe that air pollution has a major affect on our plant life. I will need to research into the source of air pollution, and the dangerous effects it has on plant life in order to complete my project. The sources that I will be looking for are the pollutant impacts on plants. I believe that the information is current and not historical.

In my opinion I think the following would be interested in my research on air pollution and the effects it has on plant life:

Ecologists
Environmentalists
Biologist
Geologist

Library of Congress Classification (LC) Areas:S Agriculture
SB Plant Culture.
SD Forestry.
Q-Sciences
QK-Botany
QK750 Chemical Agents Affecting Plants
QK870 Phytochemistry
